Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kee) is a gentle yet powerful technique designed to reduce stress and promote deep relaxation, while also supporting the body’s natural healing abilities. Reiki is not affiliated with any religion or religious practice. It is a subtle and effective form of energy healing using spiritually guided life force energy, the energy which fills our whole universe and all living things. This energy is channeled through the hands of the practitioner into the body of the receiver. Reiki can also be administered at a distance. It is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use and anyone can learn. During the Reiki session, the recipient is fully clothed, may be sitting or lying down as universal energy flows through the practitioner's hands to the areas of the recipient that may be deficient, blocked or disturbed, thus strengthening and soothing these areas with positive and supportive energy for healing. The more Reiki you receive, the better you feel! Reiki is a complimentary therapy to conventional medicine, not in replacement of.
